Up the ‘alm’ again…

This time we went to visit the “Steinwender-Hütte” again to celebrate the birthday of both, Marlies and Teegl. Once again tons of alcohol and good music were involved. For a inside look check out this video.

As usual some photos are available at my Flickr! Album.

Also, if anyone would like to have the electronic version (pdf) of the “Birthday-special” newspaper Dani and i produced please mail or ICQ me.

New addition to my blogroll

I’ve a new addition to my blogroll, it’s Cockpit Conversations by Aviatrix, a female pilot somewhere up north in Canada. You know, pilot as in “refules plane by herself”-pilot.
Though I have not quite read everything I can tell she has quite the story from her latest posts. I suggest starting at her first post from January 2005.

Another one from Sweet Jelly

sweet jelly - what the duck

These strips are great, go visit their blog! They encourage sharing their work.
If anyone happens to know of other photography cartoons around the web, please let me know.

It’s kind of a busy week, much to do at work plus preparing for some party activities on Friday where we’ll be celebrating the birthdays of Marlies and Michael (a.k.a. The Teegl).

Plus car insurance demands to be payed, another 400 Euros spent on mobility (or not, since my car is more or less just sitting in the driveway most of the time).

That’s it for today, cu around.

RAW vs JPG

Very interesting article over at Ken Rockwells Site on JPG vs. RAW.

He’s a quite experienced photographer. Guess what he shoots? - JPG!

While I don’t agree with erverything and am glad to have shot Aaron & Dashas Wedding in RAW most time, I get the space and time requirement ptoblems he mentions. Post processing RAW takes an awful lot of time plus you end up converting to JPG anyways…

But as long as I’m not the most experienced I’ll stick to shooting raw in situations where I’m not sure about my settings.
For anyone who has a D70 or D70s, you might also want to read his article on handling your camera.

Rendering problems in IE

Just today I stumbled upon a problem with this site not rendering correctly in IE.

The right hand navigation bar is displayed way down below the rest of the content.

Will look into it some other day. Meanwhile scroll down and click on the “Get Firefox” Button. :)
