Flickr is having a massage
Flickrs image caches started to freak out last weekend. Accorindg to Flickr about 1/7th of the users ended up with random photos on the website instead of the ones that should have been there. The caches just served random images sometimes that would change with every site reload.
Didn’t spot any private naked ones though. :)
Anyway, the site has been down three times or so since Sunday and they always thought the problem was fixed.
Right now they are down again and looking into the mess. Take a look at the Flickr Blog for updates, they are explaining how this whole stuff happened (in fact not explaining anything but at least posting something so that the crowd is pleased).
This ia major negative press if picked up by the media and will drive users to services like Zooomr (though at the moment that’s even slower than Flickr for me).

nah, glaub nicht, das wegen dem ausfall wer zu zooomr gehen wird - immerhin kann es dort auch keine garantie geben, dass das nicht passiert.
ich hab aber in den diskussionen gelesen, dass wer in den thumbs irgendwelche nudes hatte, und das eigentliche bild wa r dann ein babyfoto und sowas…. und die ganze familie hat grad den stream angeguckt harhar.
oh, und irgendwer hat sich beschwert, dass da gay hardcore aufgetaucht ist…. wofür man flickr alles benutzen kann… :D
