Life Unplugged…

Seit kurzem stehen 100 Leute auf der Teilnehmerliste für das Barcamp Senza Confini kommendes Wochenende an der Uni Klagenfurt. Gestern abend haben wir uns nochmal getroffen um schon Badges vorzubereiten und noch einige Details zu besprechen.

Soweit ich mich erinnere sind letztes Jahr rund 1/3 mehr Leute gekommen als auf der Liste standen, damit wären wir dann ein ganzen Stück über 100. Hätte mir nicht gedacht dass das so super funktioniert.

Die Session Listen für Samstag und Sonntag füllen sich auch langsam, das ganze Programm wird aber wie bei Barcamps üblich erst spontan festgelegt. Natürlich wird es auch heuer wieder haufenweise Bilder auf Flickr geben, wir werden die Teilnehmer auch über Twitter am laufenden halten und uns bemühen möglichst alle Sessions auch auf Video aufzunehmen und danach online zu stellen.

Und noch ein Highlight für Sonntag: Faceball EM!

Als Vorbereitung auf die EM im Frühjahr wird es Länderausscheidungen in Faceball geben. Wir hoffen auf schönes Wetter, dann können wir das Ganze im Freien vor der Uni starten lassen! Keine Ahnung was Faceball ist? Hier ein kurzes Video, mehr gibts auf faceball.org

It’s a EEG like interface from your brain to the computer. There is only a limited set of commands right now (obviously), but enough to move stones and rotate them just by thinking of it.

I wonder what it will be like to play Halo 5 with that thing in a few years… Or how soldiers will direct gunfire just by thinking of a target (think funding from this corner shouldn’t be a problem).

The dragonfly will cost US$50, so should be the same in Euros then I guess…
